What is Gas Flaring?

Gas flaring is the process of burning off natural gas that is released during oil extraction and other industrial activities. Gas is also flared when capturing or transporting the gas is not economically feasible, especially at remote sites.

Gas flaring is wasteful and harmful to the environment, releasing large amounts of greenhouse gases, namely carbon dioxide and methane, which contribute to global warming. Additionally, gas flaring causes air pollution that harms local communities, leading to health issues like cancer, respiratory disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.

Our Impact

Green Flare works to eliminate gas flaring, and instead utilizes the wasted energy to run economically profitable digital infrastructure.

Slashing Flare Gas Emissions

We mitigate significant amounts of Carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane, and Carbon Monoxide (CO) among other harmful greenhouse gasses.

Green Flare has revolutionized the fight against wasteful gas flaring. As we scale, we expect to mitigate millions of tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually.

Supporting the Global Energy Transition

Green Flare is a catalyst for change in the energy sector. By partnering with oil and gas companies, we help to reduce their environmental footprint while creating new revenue streams from wasted resources. Our model demonstrates that profitability and sustainability can go hand in hand. We’re not just adapting to the energy transition – we’re actively shaping it for a cleaner, more efficient future.

Sustainable Development Goals
