Adeoye Fadeyibi serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Green Flare. He will oversee all strategic decisions, the formalization of various agreements, investments, and general management of the company.
Adeoye brings a wealth of experience in leading energy and power businesses in Nigeria. Notably, he has served as CEO of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, CEO of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company, and CEO of Transcorp Ughelli Power Ltd, a publicly listed conglomerate, where he led the deployment of ~500MW of power in the same regions Green Flare will be deploying. Prior to these roles he spent nearly a decade in roles at GE in the energy industry in Nigeria.
Adeoye holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from New York State University.
Charles Majomi serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of Green Flare. He leads all strategic relationships for the company in the oil and gas sector, and across government and political agencies.
Prior to Green Flare, Charles spent nearly thirty years in various senior management and consulting roles across Nigeria in the oil and gas sector – primarily in the mid and downstream verticals. Charles was a founding member of the Steering Committee for the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Program representing the FCDO, formerly DFID. His other roles include positions with EY, the Department for International Development, Nigerian National Petroleum Company, and Osprey Investments.
Charles holds a BA from University of S. California in Intl. Relations and Linguistics.
Joseph Lassen serves as Chief Financial Officer of Green Flare. He leads all strategic financial initiatives for the company, including investment formation, expense structuring, project financing, and strategy.
Previously, Joseph served as an Investment Partner at CMT Digital – a global digital asset and blockchain infrastructure investment fund. Joseph manages his own investment holding companies and has served as an investment professional at Rock Island Capital, a middle-market private equity fund focused on leveraged and management buyouts, and was an investor at The Optimas Group, a single-family office focused on direct equity placements.
Joseph holds a BSBA in Economics from Creighton University, and an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore.
Maxime Rutagarama serves as Chief Technology Officer of Green Flare, where he leads the development of infrastructure, oversees operations and maintenance, and drives technology initiatives for large-scale data center and Bitcoin mining projects.
Maxime has an extensive background in the Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrencies industry. He founded Restake, a $200M AUM staking business and was CTO at Cowa, a European Bitcoin mining company, where he deployed over 60 MW of mining capacity. Maxime managed site development from inception and oversaw all operational aspects, including monitoring and maintenance. Earlier in his career, Maxime was an R&D Engineer at Alpiq, implementing data and AI solutions to optimize hydropower operations in Switzerland.
Maxime holds an MSc in Computer Science and a BSc in Mathematics from EPFL.
Barbara Iyayi is the Founder & Managing Partner of Unicorn Growth Capital, an early-stage FinTech & Blockchain VC fund that invests in the future of finance. She has over 20 years’ experience, spanning venture, private equity, IB/M&A and technology.
Previously, she launched Atlas Mara, an LSE-listed financial services investment platform that acquired banks; over $3bn of assets across Africa. Barbara worked at various financial institutions, including as Vice President, Investment Banking at JPMorgan, and UBS Investment Bank in New York.
Barbara holds BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Columbia University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Lai Yahaya is a public policy advisor to senior government officials, international donor agencies, and C-Suite investors. Recently, Lai was Sr. Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, and Senior Advisor to Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga in his role as African Union High Representative for Infrastructure.
Previously, Lai led the Power Africa Senior Advisors Group, Chaired by Rt. Hon. Tony Blair; led the Facility for Oil Sector Transparency and Reform; and was an Expert Advisor with the Africa Progress Panel, Chaired by the late Kofi Annan.
Lai holds a BA (Hons) and MA from Balliol College at Oxford University. He is a Yale World Fellow and Gleitsman Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. He is a Fellow of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu/Oxford Leadership Program.
